1. Affiliate Disclaimer (FTC Disclosure)

We believe in transparency on the web, so we want to let you know that there are affiliate links on huntingandcooking.com ("a 12 Gauge Girl"). As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases. We may also participate in select outdoor and culinary affiliate programs (including Bluehost and outdoor equipment retailers). Please note that we have not been given any free products, services, or anything else by these companies in exchange for mentioning them unless explicitly stated. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. This disclosure is provided in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.

2. Information We Collect

When you visit huntingandcooking.com, we may collect two types of information:

- Voluntarily Provided Information: When you subscribe to our email newsletter ("Join Us in the Forest and Kitchen"), contact us, or make a purchase/donation, we collect your name and email address so we can send you recipe updates or fulfill your request. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

- Automatically Collected Information (Cookies & Analytics): Like most websites, we use cookies and analytics tools (including Squarespace Analytics and Google Analytics) to understand how visitors find and use our recipes. These tools collect non-personally identifiable information such as browser type, device type, pages visited, and time spent on the site.

3. Third-Party Cookies & Advertising / Affiliate Partners

Third-party vendors, including Amazon and Google, use cookies to serve content, track affiliate referrals, or serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites on the internet. When you click on an Amazon Associate link on our site, Amazon places a cookie on your browser to credit qualifying purchases to our account. You can opt out of personalized advertising or manage cookies at any time through your browser settings or by visiting Google's Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com).

4. How We Protect & Share Your Data

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal email address to third parties. Your information is stored securely through our website provider (Squarespace) and connected email storage services solely for communicating with you about a 12 Gauge Girl recipes, cookbooks, and updates.

5. Your Privacy Rights (CCPA & GDPR)

Depending on your location, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information (such as your email address) that we hold about you.
